Our mission
Peaceful public discourse is a human right.
We built ZenFeed because we know firsthand what it feels like when a comment section becomes a battleground β and how much damage that does, quietly, over time.
How it started.
ZenFeed grew out of a civic initiative page on Facebook. As the page grew, so did the hostility in the comments. Coordinated attacks, profanity, threats dressed up as opinions. Moderating it manually was exhausting β and, frankly, demoralising: it left me feeling powerless, like I'd lost control of a debate I'd started myself. Every hostile comment was a small hit β harmless on its own, but those micro-blows add up and take a real toll on your mental health.
At some point I gave up. I turned off notifications and left the comment section to the trolls β it was easier than reading it in real time.
I went looking for a tool that could handle it for me. I couldn't find one that understood context rather than just a list of banned words.
So I built a system. An AI that could read intent, not just keywords β that understood sarcasm, coded aggression, and the particular brand of cruelty that flourishes in public threads. Over a single month it analysed 50,000 comments and removed around 10,000 of them.
I turned that system into ZenFeed, because mental health should come first, and moderation shouldn't mean censorship.

What we stand for.
Mental health first.
The person reading toxic comments every day is not a bot β they're a social media manager, a volunteer, a founder. Chronic exposure to hostility causes real harm. ZenFeed exists so that your team doesn't have to carry that weight alone.
Moderation, not censorship.
We don't silence disagreement. Criticism, debate, and strong opinions are the lifeblood of public conversation. What we remove is violence β threats, coordinated harassment, and hate speech designed to drive people out of the conversation entirely.
Privacy without compromise.
We are a European company and we act like one. Your data never leaves the EU, never touches a third-party AI API, and comment text is deleted after 30 days by default. We don't monetise what passes through our system. Trust is infrastructure β and we don't cut corners on it.
Research and EU collaborations
We're open to collaborations, research partnerships and pilots on online safety, hate speech and digital wellbeing.
How it works
ZenFeed doesn't run on a list of banned words. Every comment is judged on context and intent β the model tells criticism apart from abuse, sarcasm from a joke, and catches coded aggression a simple filter would let straight through.
The sensitivity threshold is configurable β set it more lenient and review borderline cases yourself, or more aggressive and let the system run fully autonomously. Either way, a daily digest shows exactly what got removed, so moderation is never a black box.
The humans behind it.
